This desk chair is a live demo of the 3D Product Customizer & Configurator for WooCommerce — a 3D office chair configurator that changes the chair’s actual structure, not just its color. Drag to rotate, scroll to zoom, and use the customization steps to rebuild the chair in real time. Everything here runs natively inside WooCommerce, built through the plugin’s visual admin with no custom code.

Switch the base: fixed legs or casters

The clearest demonstration on this page is the leg swap. Choose static peg legs for a fixed seat, or switch to a wheeled caster base for a rolling office chair — and the chair’s geometry changes instantly. This is not a color change painted over the same shape; the plugin shows one leg assembly and hides the other, swapping real meshes in the model. It is the same mechanism that powers any either/or product option: frame styles, mounting types, optional components.

How show and hide works

Because the plugin reads the model’s full mesh hierarchy on upload, every part of this chair is individually addressable. A single configuration step here toggles between two complete leg assemblies, keeping the rest of the chair untouched. You can chain rules like this across multiple steps to build complex product logic — material on one step, structure on the next — all from one interface.

Restyle the materials too

Beyond the base, swap the seat, back, and frame materials using physically based rendering. Fabrics, plastics, and metals respond to light realistically, so a shopper previews the exact finish before ordering.

On a compatible phone, the View in AR button places the chair in your space at true scale — Quick Look on iOS, WebXR on Android. Customers confirm fit and proportion before they buy.

How this demo was made

A single .glb model containing both leg variants was uploaded through the WooCommerce product editor. The plugin detected every mesh automatically, the show/hide rule was assigned in the visual admin, and the configurator generated itself. When a customer picks a base and adds the chair to the cart, the selection is saved to the order as line-item meta.
